Question

Dear all

I had an interesting chat with someone today and just wanted to see what the general interest would be.

Who would want a grille made up that fits in the bumper (radiator intake between fog/driving lights) manufactured by the people who make grilles for the XJR, Aston Martin etc.

I'm getting one made in the next couple of weeks and I will try and post a picture of the finished product.

The grille will be made of polished stainless steel mesh (diamond shaped like the WRC), with a possible option of black, and will be a kind of cassette which will slot into the bumper. The cost will be around £60 - £80.

Cheers

Iain

Spooky I was thinking about the availability of these yesterday.

I'd be interested.

Funnily enough I was admiring the grill on a Jag XJR this morning (I must be getting old) and was thinking about some shiny bits for the Scoob.

So that's a 'Yes, I would be interested' from me too.

Andrew...

Keep em coming people.

The template is being made up on Sunday (hopefully). I'll let you all know how it went.

Cheers

Iain

PS. Sam, going to ask the guy about the grille above the bumper as well

You can get suitable grill material from do-it-all or similar... for about 2 or 3 quid a sheet... now all you need to do is work out a neat way of mounting it...

I'm interested.

Will different templates be needed though ?

e.g. My STi5 has a slightly different bumper to the STi4, so probably UK model may be different again...

Any thought anyone ??

Scott.

I Made my own, I've had a few comments from others that have seen it, all favourable, mine's black which fits in very well with the matt black on the 'upper' grill, the little orange (now matt black) thingys, and the carbon look on the headlight covers, work's a treat.
Ron
I thought you might like to see it so here's a couple of pictures. Obviously it's not on the car at this point, it fits behind the number plate so that it fills the hole.
