Just got home from Rallye Catalunya....hope rum, mossman and the boys got back OK cos I didnt see anyone over there not even in Mobys or the Picadilly....the rally was fantastic as usual.....managed to get in 2 stages a day and shakedown having been in Tropics nightclub til 5.45 every morning and on the road at 6.15am - I wasnt the designated driver so I could let rip with the booze...halleluiah for quid quadruple measures.
The Martini after rally party was a laff - I'm amigos with Pablo the guy who runs the door at Mobys/Tropics so blagged VIP tickets....got hammered with Alistair McCrae,Gilles Panizzi,Luis Moya and Stig Blomquist ...amazing ..till we got booted out with some Subaru mechaniucs for spraying beer over the local heros!!...still Pablo let me back in ..weather was suberb..saw indicated 33 degrees in the mountains on Saturday....suntans coming along nicely.......only downer about the event was having to fly back to a wet and cold Liverpool airport this morning to have news of foot and mouth and economic ruin every where you look......never mind roll on the next one whos up for Corsica and San Remo?? - right wheres my passport
