Question mt6 centre diff - what's the same, where to buy?

Hi all,

I've got a TY856WN*** 6 speed box in a 2004 blob STI UK with a knackered viscous coupling(no DCCD).

From Googling I believe there are two shapes of diff - p1 & p2 with 4kgf(standard) or 20kgf(uprated) as well as the DCCD diff.

My questions are....
  1. Are all the p2,4kgf viscous diffs the same? i.e. could I fit a diff out of say a 2002 five speed bug?
  2. Anyone know the part # for the correct diff?
  3. Anyone selling one?
Thanks in advance for any help

Cheers

Steve

You could try scoobyparts in fleetwood as they break quite a few scoobs or just get your diff rebuilt...

Can the centre diffs be rebuilt now? I've looked all over and can't find anyone who will rebuild the viscous coupling.

The higher rated item will give you major understeer - not advised.
