Cool

hi geokat

its certainly possible as its not a dealer fit but fitted by a someone who comes to your dealer to carry out the job. and therefore its not really a factory fitted option but can be added easily at anytime.

i was told it would only take a couple of hours to do.

had mine fitted b4 i took delivery of my MY00.

cant say for sure but i dont believe there is any problem with fitting it after you actually buy the car. although i m not sure if the same applies to outside of the UK ?

Air conditioning is indeed a dealer fit option. It will be covered by warenty etc. if it fails. Some dealers have trained technicians to do it else a company called Coolair UK come in to fit it

Thumbs up

Yep,

I had a/c fitted by Coolair last year, so far no problems. Cost nearly a grand though.

If you ask for AC make sure that the dealer fits a fully genuine Subaru system.

When the cost went down from 1500 ish to 995, Coolair started to fit part Coolair systems. Ie, most parts where UK sorced coolair stuff, compressor, condenser, receiver dryer, piping etc, with a few genuine Subaru bits - switch, fan and cowl (I think).

They still fit the full genuine Subaru kit if requested - the better option I think.
