After buying my STi 5 I came across some deals that were 3-4k cheaper than the amount I paid (serves me right for being so impulsive). I'm seeing prices of 30-32k for the new WRX STi, but has anyone tracked down anything cheaper?

Have a word with Iain at Litchfield Imports (http://www.litimports.co.uk/). I'm sure he was talking new STi's sub 30k.

Cheers

Be careful with this. In Japan there are 10 different STi 7 models. The obvious differences are estate, saloon and saloon type RA. After you choose the basic type there are factory option packs to choose (HID lights, navigation, front LSD, etc.). This then makes up the STi model code that you order.

You can then get the dealer options which are separate.

The price range (in Japan) is about 3 grand. Be sure you compare like with like! The option pack is on the VIN plate so you can verify what you are looking at.
