Hi, I've got a crack in my rear bumper and found another one the same colour for sale only thing is it's from a 2005 model.

I know that they're both the blobeye model but just wanted to make sure there weren't any slight differences made to the rear bumper as part of the changes to the V9?

 

they are the same for blobeyes

 

not true 04 and 05 are different as the 05 have the rear arch extensions that fit into an extension at the top of the bumper
its due to the revised wider track on the 05 models
i have a wr blue 04 sti bumper for sale if your interested pm me

 

correct it will fit however you will need the arch extensions to fit it correctly otherwise you will have a small overhang on both sides

Buy the bumper............and then some arch extensions. It does look a tad better IMHO

NOT totally correct.

This only applies to the 05 STI onwards.

All the blobeye WRX and Sport and also the STI upto and including 04 are the same.

 

ooops forget that as i have an sti, but its right.

 

these arch extensions, how do you add them on later? thought they went round the arch/wing?

 

they are clipped in via drilled holes i think there is 5 but 2 of them are the ones that hold that black plastic thingy in front of the rear arch

 

Thanks guy's. I had a feeling they were slightly different. \just to be clear though If i read the replies right then a 2005 WRX bumper is the same as the 2003STI rear bumper? Just the 2005 STI has the arch extensions?

 

yes blob wrx and sti up to 05 bumpers are the same its just the 05 on sti bumpers that are different
i believe the wrx bumper is the same on blobs and hawks
