Dont most used wrx`s have the wrong spoiler fitted ??!! ie changed for the better looking sti high level type.
yep take it the s/h was removed from the car whilst it was broken into, nice off them to leave the fancy cd/dvd player thou ??!!!
no one on here know the car itself ?? can a car be too fast that you have to sell it ??!! his feedback is fine on ebay but as per usual just a bit too many stories to be told, could be genuine thou.
more thoughts please ??!!

Comma's and full stops would be great .
When a car has only been owned a few weeks and is being sold I'm always dubious . Maybe found an expensive problem .

to put it in perspective -- my brother sold a 2002 WRX PPP with less than 25k on the clock - absolutely immaculate
he owned it from new and was garaged, had a few tastful mods, STI Scoop, and STI brakes
it really was "like new" he had hardly driven it for the last 2 years -- the seats had always had protective covers etc
the cambelt had just been changed, and he let it go for £3500
(fastest colour too)
so looks expensive to mee

appreciatte what you are saying thou mate and do appreciatte your input.
If he bought it for his wife and has only driven it a few times why does it have all his stuff in it. Also, who in their right mind buys a car for their wife without her driving it first?
However, I have a suspicious mind and fom the pictures the car looks nice.

Surely someone on here recognises the car ?? be nice to here from the prev owner ??!! and yep did not mean much to me but bit strange about the ssmall dent on rear window trim ( what else could cause this ?? )
to many questions and as been pointed out before plenty off others out there with much less " stories " !!!

Something doesn't quite ring true in that advert buddy. I would think there is more to the story than the seller is letting on. Be very careful and make sure you take someone who knows what he's looking at if you go to view.

You sure its off a classic ?? thought that is the sti type spoiler and the classic has the not so high, boring type one like the one on this ???!!!

Unfortunatly one owner, 25k - 2002 wrx PPP scoobies in genuinly as new condition with cambelt change in the right colour !! just very, very, very rarely come up altogether, never mind at just £3500 !!

I would push a fvcking hard bargain -- after all they may have to tax it/insure it soon
good luck

to be honest a look on ebay / pistonheads etc just shows so much variation in prices very few if any 02/02 plate wrx under £4k even with some very high mileages on them, 55 / 56 plates are being advertised at anything 6/7 upwards again with nothing particulary special going for them ie. lower mileage / fsh etc.
fair enough thou guess these same cars are just not actually selling and owners just not wanting to what must seem like give them away, works both ways I know but as you rightly say its probably a good time to get that bargain when it does eventually come up !!!
Yes mate deffo, here's an example of a newage sti spoiler (notice the brake light at the bottom and it doesn't slope back):

Just to put a different slant on the car........looks what it should be in the pics, the rear spoiler is an aftermarket jobbie, Was sold by TSL as a copy / OEM of the Morette end of line bugeye spoiler (which was sold with Morette headlights) and as an original OEM item
........I have to earn £5k a year just to stick petrol in my car which is not a high miler so maybe he got his fingers burnt LOL
Go have a look and might take £3.5k ....... like all used cars it's a gamble LOL

gave him a text last night to ask what was the lowest price he would accept ?? answer 4k to end auction .given the fact that again its a uk 55 plate wrx with PPP and lowish mileage thought thats sounds a bargain and so my interest continued !!
this morning done a few checks on some off the free very limited info car check sites and the car was comming back as a uk wrx sti in grey not a uk wrx in silver as advertised !!! advised the guy this and he says deffinatly just the wrx and advised me that if I go on vosa website it deffinatly says so.
okay then trusting sort I am !! ask him about the s/history off the car ?? " dont know was stolen along with the mot / sunglasses etc " but do know it had a new belt / fluids changed at 34k !!!
ask him if he is down as the current keeper ?? nope did not bother as we knew we were selling the car anyway, too fast for wife !!!
ask him is it not strange to not register the car either straight away or at least within the first week or so off owning the car ?? again quote "
understand what you are saying when we bought the car the guy was moving home and said he couldnt remember if hed sent it of or not so i had the new vicnle owners supplement wich i still have along with a form sent to me on friday with all the subaru details on it to get a new v5 in my wifes name at no cost but with us selling it the new owner mayaswell put there name on it and recieve it from dvla .
okay thought will get a proper online check if it comes back okay will at least view the car, well it was a fiver well spent !!
7 owners not counting himself !!!
last change off owner in january off this year, so either he has had it longer than the 6 weeks stated / 5 months later infact or the car has had two owners from january which is possible !!!
something is not checking out with this car and feel there is indeed much more info to learn on it, fortunatly for me I wont be the one who sadly heres all this info !!
Is the scooby one off the worst cars to buy s/hand ??!!! remember reading yaers ago in an old rsoc magazine off one chaps efforts in trying to buy an o saph cossie and even those that were described as being mint , low mileage one owner examples had stories with them !!
the hunt continues !!!

Advert updated to say he has just found it out it was a cat d in 2007 - yep right !!!!!!!!!!!!
okay the data check shows the following :
This registration was recorded as a Category D write-off on 6 Jan 2007.
This registration was recorded as a Category D write-off on 2 Oct 2007
how can it have two cat d entries for the one year ??
do cat D cars not go on a Q plate or is that a thing off the past ??

cat d is panel damage its the lowest cat write off..
A Category C or D write-off is one that insurers consider unecomonical to repair but one that could, given enough time in the workshop, be repaired and returned to the road
