GUINNESS WORLD RECORD BID ELVINGTON 22nd MAY

THE SCOOBY SNAKE

Guinness world record bid for the most Scoobys in a Snake we are attempting to set the record at the Scooby shoot out on the 22nd of May at Elvington

So if you are not racing this is your chance to join all the competitors on track and set the longest line of Scoobys in history we have the 2 mile runway to play with and it is hoped that the Snake will go all the way to the end

There is no charge to take part and this is open to all Subarus that attend the event

With some of the top Scoobys in the country on track on the Handling circuit Drag strip and Top speed runway if you are into Scoobys Elvington is the place to be on the 22nd of May Racing starts at 10.30

We also have dedicated Subaru parking for clubs and individuals

Costs to come and watch the Scooby Clinc Scooby Shoot out is just £10 on the gate and no charge for Kids,,,Regards the Straightliners team

There are some records in the world that i will never understand.
The 100m sprint i understand and the fastest car in the world type thing and other things which involve human endurance but a line of cars i will never get. My advice would be to get a line of Fords as the line will be longer or why not do the longest line of tic tacs ever then you are only limited by the amount you can afford?
Sorry to be so negative but i just don't get it

Lots of people love there cars and will not take them on track at a RWYB or Track day by doing the snake they have a chance to be part of an event that is just for Subarus, if we want the TV and media to come to an event then this is more likly to succeed than telling them we have cars running the 1/4 mile in 9 seconds so come on get behind it you just might have a laugh,,,

Straightliners are running a top speed day for bikes at Elvington next week and we have all the top runners from the UK there with bikes running in excess of 250mph but the thing that as got the media there is a vicar on his motorcycle hearse going for the Guinness Record you will be able to see it on the TV after next Tuesday it's not ideal for the lads going very quick who have spent hour upon hour in the shed getting bikes ready but it is the way the media works,,,Trev
