The Goodwood festival is in July. If anyone fancies attending I am happy to collect more details. Lots of old cars there and supposed to be a great atmosphere.

Post on here if you would be interested.

Open to all cars, not just Scoobies (mainly cos I don't have one anymore!)

I'll post all the details tonight.

This will be a 'no looking under each others bonnet' event!

I've been every year so far, the atmosphere is unique, you can get close enough to touch the cars, I will be going this year, probably on the friday, as saturday and sunday's are just manic, although if you want to see 'the names' you'll have to go on sunday!
Be there or be square!

I've been to the last three. Unfortunatley, last year was really crowded(Sunday) and that spoiled it a bit for us(very difficult to see much). Might do the Saturday this year.
We got into a really interesting conversation with the Wiliams mechanics. You just wouldn't see that at the GP weekend.

Steve.

Question

I'll be there. Going to book tickets in advance. Those that have been before - is it better to book entry into one of the grandstands or just pay for the basic admission? Which grandstand is best?

If you are thinking of just turning up I Believe Sunday is prebooked tickets only so if you want sunday , prebook
Goodwood also has its own web site although I am not sure of exact site address but should not be too hard to find, it is a general site for Goodwood which is then sub diveided for car racing, horse racing, Goodwood House etc
For anyone thinking of going it is a Great meet & especially good for Families, Loads of cars, Loads of stars & they all go to have fun, last year I remember Eddie Jordan showing how to pull away without traction control several times coming down the hill for the benefit of the marshall posts.

Wink

I took a convoy from my work down there last year - excellent day out. Ended up joining the Goodwood Road Racing Club after also going to the Revival.

The plan is to do the same again, so if there are other groups going down it would be rude not to meet up.

If the weather is good it will be a great weekend!
