Default Tyre Sizes & Brands

Alright Folks

I have classic shape impreza , UK 2000 Turbo. W-reg.

Going to be purchasing a set of Speedline Turni in 7x17.
I have been offered the following tyre sizes - 215/45x17 & 215/40x17.

Can i have some advice on which is the better profile to go for ?

Also which is the best brand for all round grip in the wet & dry .

Was looking at Yokohama Pradas , Vredisteins , etc.

Am only a week into impreza ownership so not clued up at all.
Thanks for the replys.

Google online wheel size calculator, tap in your original tyre size and then the tyre size you are looking at getting and see what is the closest match to the original circumference.

I've had Parada spec 2 tyres before and they were very good wet and dry, have heard good things about vredisteins so i'm sure someone will pop along and tell you about them.
