suspension on a budget
Don't bother with coilovers if your on a budget, I'd go for STi or your standard struts, Prodrive lowering springs to suit whichever struts you use, a rear 22mm anti roll bar, uprated drop links all round and a proper geometry alignment.
This will give you a very good setup for road use.

Personally, if you do go coilovers then KW all the way, nowhere near as harsh as Cusco etc! Better ride than OEM setup too! Had mine for 3 years on my Blob and never had any problems with ride etc

whiteline 24mm adjustable rear arb (set to middle), whiteline flat out springs and a geo set up by powerstation (and they recomended i ran 36psi front and 34psi rear tyre preasures), had this set up on my hawkeye wrx and it worked really well, think the hawkeye shocks are firmer than the earlier newages tho.

Or keep an eye out for some 2nd hand coilovers. They are'nt as comfortable as shocks and springs though
