Not what you originally thought but does anyone else have problems with cats wandering around on your nice clean car with muddy paws? My 02 is black and it shows these tracks up like someone has printed them on the car

I think its because the car has a ali bonnet the temperature coming through is much higher so they like laying on it.

Don't get me wrong I love animals, I've got a cat myself but there must be a way to keep them from doing this?

PS And no suggestions of shotguns, wiring the car into the mains or anything else that I've already thought of

this was covered a while back - leave a couple of half empty clear water bottles near the car and one on the dash - scares them away as they have a 'not invented here moment'!

I've got 5 cats at the moment, and quite frankly there's little you can do about it. Unfortunately, they seem particularly attracted to the warmth around the intercooler.

A cover is probably the most sensible way around it.

A friend of mine has moggies and they used to love to sit on the bonnet of my Legacy. I've now moved where I park the car so that the bonnet faces towards the street, so it's a bit windy for the cats. Works well - they don't sit on it any more
