Could anyone tell me how a MY99 PPP+decat would react to a larger
turbo like a VF23/24 (Hp/Torque)?
And are there any risks like running lean?

Wouldnt run a PPP on anything but a TD04 turbo as thats what its mapped for, running anything else could and probably would cause you serious problems

Alex

My my00 PPP runs as rich as the OE ecu - so I see no specific risk to replacing the turbo on a PPP car. But it's not optimal for any OE ecu - all the fuelling, timing & boost values are based on the original turbo, fitting a different one will (hopefully )increase your airflow which will push you closer to the extreme of the map.

Mind you, the Australians do this regularly to their cars - try asking the question on one of the WRX boards.

I'd also look into something like the EcuTek DeltaDash software, which will let you see how the ecu is handling the change - or even take a weekend break in the UK and get PE to remap your ECU to take advantage of transplant
