Question Re: Rear Diff Replacement

Hi,

My brother has a ver6 STi and the rear diff is cluncking quite annoyingly.

Got hold of some diff oil and will see if that cures it, but its doubtful.

A friend is breaking an earlier year classic WRX (think its a ver3/4)... are the diff's interchangable, or are they specific to WRX and STi? And does it matter going across the classic years?

I've read a bit about ratio's and R160/R180... if my friends rear diff isnt appropriate, what rear diff should my bro be hunting for in the sale section??

Thanks
Alex
