Default Version 9 STI with WR1 ecu upgrade

Hi,

I am thinking of fitting a WR1 ECU to my Version 9 STI and wondered what parts I will need? I have been told I will also need the 3 port prodrive boost solanoid from the car also?? and have the ecu coded to the keys by a subaru dealer?

Any advise would be appreciated.

Or should I just go for a remap??

Decisions decisions!

Dave

So this is an MY04 car its going into? (a version 9 if they continued the numbering would be an MY03 car btw )
If its an MY03/04 UK car then yes you would require the 3 port boost solenoid.

Hi Tony,

Thank you for the reply.

Its a 2005 blob eye version 9 (with the wider rear track and plastic arch trime).

It has the same engine as the WR1 though so hoping it should be an easy upgrade.

Tbh with you your better off with a 3 port and a remap, the sports cat would be needed also really but you can pick those up off ebay fairly cheaply

Tony

PS your car would be a version 11 if it were a JDM car, hence you see S11 rally cars based on 2005 JDM STI's so always just best giving the model year and not the version because a 2003 JDM is totally different to a 2003 UK car etc (too many differences between domestic markets and it may bite you if you order parts )
