Default what bhp is your wrx running and with what mods, any problems?

hi all, this question has probably already been asked,
I have a 2002 wrx bugeye with de resonated middle section and back box, in wing air filter, which i am loosing the love for, so i figure an upgrade is needed,

My question to you guys is:
What power are your wrx's running and with what mods? and have you had any issues?

i am looking into sti top mount, decat up pipe, sports cat downpipe, 550 injectors, walbro fuel pump, vf35 turbo and 7 plugs.... and remap

any information will be appreciated as i dont want to throw the money at it and be let down by reliability or change of performance. Would hope to get 300-350 bhp
Thanks

This would be the same spec as my wrx was but have since upgraded to avcs too, But was producing 332bhp with 329Lbft on the wrx heads and block with the above.

My hawkeye has got a milltek 3" turboback with sports cat; harvey ported/wrapped headers and uppipe; harvey ported VF35; process west TMIC and shroud; colder plugs; walbro pump. The hawkeye already has the 550cc injectors and the AVCS heads. I'm getting 327bhp/338 ftlb on Powerstation's dyno. Compared to the 2.0, the 2.5 gives more torque, but the chocolate engine limits boost to about 1.25. The 2.0 is more robust so can take more boost, so somewhere in the region of 330/330, as Gaz says, sounds about right. Exact figures will depend on the map and how the dyno is set up. You shouldn't have any problems at that level, not too much for the clutch and box. The VF35 gives a nice quick spool up, particularly with harvey's pipework, but it's worth getting the wastegate ported to avoid boost creep. The VF34 will give a little more, closer to 340

All sounds good but put some money away each month for a gearbox as it WILL break. Friend of mine same mods VF28, is just killing his second box on these mods.

I would have to agree with the above , because with extra power comes extra torque and that can kill std gearboxes with big power going through them . My uk turbo with a vf28 is pushing out 330 bhp /325 lb/ft torque , and although i have been told the std box is good for 350 bhp ,it still does not hide the fact that when subaru fitted it in my car ,it was fitted to be able to cope with 215 bhp & 211 lb/ft,so a 50% increase in power/torque is going to stretch the box imho. For a uk car I think i am at the maximum bhp for the turbo and i have a spare clutch & box should the current one decide to let go.

350/400 on Hawk WRX
VF34
STI TMIC
255 FP
3" turbo back Miltek
Mapped by Andy Nichols at AET
STI brakes / upgraded hoses

Standard clutch went so had Exedy organic in (+50%) but then 12 months later gearbox went bang.
Just in the process of having 6 speed and drive train upgraded (diffs, hubs, shafts). Do be prepared to shell out. Would have been cheaper for me to go STI in the first place, but I am where I am ... and I love it
