Im on the lookout for a decent replacement for my blitz Nur spec R,currently looking at an Apexi full systembut its a 3" flange yet the seller says it fitted to his 2.5" downpipe fine, how so ????

i cant see the logic, a 3" flange mating to a smaller one and fitting

not the 1st time ive heard this either (exhaust talk,nothing else )

 

i've wonderd this aswell. i have a 3 inch system throughout, but thinking of replacing the downpipe cuz i think its blowing a bit, but all the downpipes i can find are 2.5 inches on the join....

get downpipe from cobra exhaustsuk mines is 3in all the way.
op - i had to get an adapter last time 2.5 went to 3.

 

Give Exhaustsuk a ring and ask for matt,he will be able to answer all your questions.

 

it would fit aslong as the bolt hole dimensions are the same but there will be a step in the actual pipe, if that makes sense.
