driveshaft removal

Default driveshaft removal

need your help again fellas got 2 drive shafts today front first are they both the same if not how do i know whitch 1 is whitch second ive got hub and shaft off drivers side how do i get the shaft off the hub ,cars on bricks again so quick response would be tops cheers T

The front shafts are identical, later rear shafts are also identical though early ones are handed. For the rear look inside the diff where the shafts go, if they are the same they will need later identical shafts, if they are different they are early ones and will only fit one way. Regarding getting the front shaft out of the hub, they usually just press out once you have taken the nut off the end though I did have a shaft which was stubbon and needed to be pressed out, very unusual. When assembling you must grease splines

CHEERS I HAVE GOT A STUBAN 1 THEN I THORT THE SAME JUST PUSH OUT BUT NA NOT CALLED LUCKY TONE FER NOUT ,DO YOU THINK ITS WORTH CHANGEING THE WHEEL BEARING ASWELL

Sorry to revive this thread. I have a 1.6GL 2WD impreza, how does the N/S/F driveshaft come out the gear box? Does it just pull out. Secondly what other specs can i use the shaft from eg: 2.0 non turbo.
