I'm getting ready to do mine but I'm in 2 minds, do I go for red, STI style, or do I go black. I already have blue hoses and I'm going to paint my intercooler pipework black - if I go red I'll leave the blue hoses, but if I go black I'll eventually change all the hoses to red starting with the intercooler ones when I paint the pipes

That looks spot-on, but I've had enough of polished kit after doing my last intercooler

I did the throttle body and alternator myself Steve, re the alternator I polished it intact rather than stripping it down. I started lightly with a scotchbrite mop then a series off polishong mops to finish.

How much power does the milk carton add, Steve?

Richie Wong has some alloy brake and clutch reservoir caps that I think he may be selling, add some extra bling.

I used this guide when I did my polishing - you can get the kits cheap on ebay and they work okay

Stevie1982, Its a Magnus inlet and I bought it from Litchfields years ago. Paul from Zen originally powder coated the parts but as the bay has changed Steven Darley has sorted the other bits out

spme pics of my spec-c mani, work in progress, was polishing it but its too much hasstle and i was never gonna be happy with it so ill probs wrinkle red or black it.

Totally de-seamed and de-lugged amoungst many other custom weld ons etc.

Don't paint it just keep polishing it, I bet your polishing it tonight when your home alone Paint it as a last resort.

Ok excuse my stupid question here but why change it from the STD to the Magnus one or any after market one?

What benefits are they or what gains do you get?

And sorry last one lol but at what point does it need to be changed ie is it a power point thing or what

Thanks

stevie1982, I changed it to the Magnus as at the time there wasn't many available and it helps with top end power but realistically you don't need to worry about the manifold till your at 600bhp and above

lmao, its not here its at work ya sod.
Too many litle imporfections in it steve for me to polish it i have serious ocd,and its impossible to get in all the tight bits so i'd never be happy with it.
So far this bloody mani has had roughlt 60 hours spent on it lol.

As steve said there is no real gain to changing the stock inlet mani bit it does look **** loads better.

Thats why i went for the spec-c mani being 1 piece looks loads neater, probably splitting farts but every little helps when your trying to extract every last fookin horse out lmao.
