can somebody confirm that u.s. model year numbers are
one year behind the u.k. ones
e.g. my00 u.k. = my01 u.s.

i want to order some parts from the u.s. and need to
be certain........!!!!

The only difference on model year numbers between the USA and the UK is with the new shape impreza. This was released as a my01 car in the UK but as a my02 in the usa.
