Default Garrett 4088r Twin Scroll Turbo

I may be going a different route so I might potentially have my GT4088r turbo for sale. As new condition with a ported .82 housing.

Offers around £1000

If you want 400 bhp you're probably best either looking towards a GT28 or perhaps the MD321H or MD321T

A nice spoiler non standard (the one on your website looks mean)
Launch control
ARB's F+R
Antilift Kit
Full under car brace kit (H+A)

Final Remap once everything is done, hoping to get a lag-less 400bhp with a new turbo, only i have no ideas about turbos yet so much reading to go...

this is a list that was made by people like yourselves.

Feel free to comment

And i still want the turbo mate, the car should end up with that kind of bhp eventually..... in the mean time it would still be fun to use i think?

And i will be changing the gearbox once it blows, which i know it will pushing anything above 350bhp, the one from scooby clinic seems like the best lightweight 5 speed replacement i could find

Honestly, it would be horrible. To use that turbo, you'd need at least a 2.35 engine with all supprting mods. Just being honest and saving you money and heartache. It would be horrible to drive and laggy as **** on that current set up.

If you are seriously aiming to go over 500 or even 600 bhp in the future you'd be better off getting a billet 35r turbo. Not being a smart a*s but you realise that to get to 500 bhp costs a decent amount of money right? To push things onto 600 bhp, you're talking a lot of money.

Everything, and I mean everything, needs upgrading. And once above 600, things become less and less reliable the higher you go. If you really want some guidance or help PM me and I'll give you my number for a chat.

WRX internals aint right good for over 350brake, likely to have piston 3 ringland failure and as some1 already mentioned gearbox doesnt like much over 340brake. Out of interest, would Manor Park be the 1 in Sheffield?

Matt would this be more responsive than a billet 35R with it being twin scroll?

Think the 35r would spool earlier mate tbh but the 4088r would make more top end power.

Listing your parts won't help as in your position I think it would cost around £20k to support this turbo Its more aimed at someone like myself where costs are pretty minimal to swap

no, where just trying to advise you that this turbo is way,way wrong for your car.it would be more cost affective to make your car into a boat and sail it down the river than it would be to fit this size turbo to your car.

I think I could reel off £20k in parts which he would need and thats without labour. Unless you buy 2nd hand or cheap parts.

1500 for headers for a twin scroll set up to start with! And for that price u could buy a STD fit turbo and blow your wrx internals across the road!

ok guys everyone that is replying to what i asked actually all have serious horse power in there motors.

So i have to ask, because you all know what your talking about, which turbo would best give me the 400bhp i am looking for without any lag ?

I sat in a 300bhp uk 2000 turbo last week and when the guy put his foot down i felt like he was reorganising my internal organs, whereas in my 326bhp wrx its rather alot more clinical and efficient. The speed goes up no doubt (ate an M3 the other day left me smiling for ages) but it just doesnt feel all that scary. I guess thats i would like to make it feel like everytime i drive it. Like i have just gone to alton towers :-)
