I think off the top of my head, i used a 6mm or 5mm. I cant remember to be honest.
Is the the top the nipple clean, nothing getting in the way of the spanner?

yeah ive been and got a couple of ring spanners from halfords and the 6mm wont go over the end of the nipple or round the square section, the 7mm goes on but just slips, looks like i will have to take it to the garage tomorrow.

Small adjustable? Mole grips, but don't go mad?

Hi
As standard the spanner for the bleed nipples is 8mm , the bleed nipples we fit when reconditioning them use a 7mm spanner.

They won't be a 6mm , maybe they have been overtightened or your 7mm spanner has opened up , what you can do is crack them loose with a socket , then use the spanner you have to open them to bleed ,

If you need a pair of nipples f'narr f'narr , I can supply you some

Cheers Ian
