Default Tyres

Hi All,

I need to get some tyres and currently have 215/35/18, I'm a complete novice on this, but can I fit any other size to the wheel ? (Prodrive wheels)

I only ask as I have to parallel park up a kerb every day and these tyres are so low profile I'm always scared of hitting the kerb too quick and pinching them.

Could I get away with putting 215/40 or 215/45 tyres on without causing too many issues with clearance/speedo? (Car has been lowered a could of inches too)

Also what tyre would you recommend on a budget for general road driving, currently have falken F452 which I'm not overly impressed with in the wet.

Cheers
