WRX Clear Memory Mode

To re-set the self learning function of the ECU so that its taken back to it's factory spec.

To get rid of any "bad habits" learnt along the way.

Engine off, connect both the black and green connectors

Switch ignition on and ensure that the check light is illuminated.

Start engine and proceed to drive the car for at least one minute keeping road speed above 11 km/h

Engine must be at operating temperature. If not, bring it up.

Engine check light start to flash the all-clear ( half-sec intervals ) If other than this sequence, check error codes.

Hope this helps.

If it's not ticking over very well then I would want to know why before resetting the ECU. I would take it to a dealer and see what the Select Monitor says is wrong (if anything) first.

Often, a dodgy tickover (or hunting?) is a sign that the MAF has/is failed/failing.

Hope this helps.....
