Can anyone tell me which version of 99/00 Impreza are affected/afflicted by the drive by noise regs limitation.
I.e. which cars drop their boost when they think you are doing a noise level test.

This is the situation where you are travelling at a steady 50km/h, nail the throttle, and the car only produces 7/8 PSI of boost instead of the usual 14 or so. Happens in second gear - usually when you are trying to overtake something !

I know that all the WRXs do this, but how about the STI 5 & 6 ?
Anyone have an STI or P1 that does or does not exhibit this ?
