Default advice please thinking of selling up

hi all

i am at a point were i may have to sell my subaru

i have an idea in mind of what sort of price i'd like to get but would like some opinions of what others think

my03 uk sti ppp wr blue
62k miles
ht auto's front splitter
proper ecutek remap by jgm
sc46 turbo
3" full de-cat exhaust
aps large top mount
genuine gt spec ceramic coated headers
18" inovite tarmac alloys
up rated stereo inc 6x9's fitted in the rear shelf

it has full history and lots of other reciepts

car has a couple of small marks but nothing major, all tyres are good and the car needs nothing

it needs a set of bigger injectors or fpr and another re-map to easily see over 400bhp

ps i am all paid so advertise in the for sale section so this is not a sly for sale add

I would suggest that the base car is worth £5500.

Then add on the price you think someone would pay for the mods.

How many owners? and how long have you owned it are vital questions.

EH?

This is the bug-eye ... the ugliest car to grace tarmac, it is modified quite extensively (a massive turn off for most people), it is a 03 model (so, getting on now).

MY00 Imprezas with One Owner and not messed about with, with impeccable pedigrees, only make £3000 ..... I think £5500 is spot on the money (plus anything the buyer may wish to give for the messing about of it).

Don't think so!

Original Price £27,500
Franchised Dealer £6,865
Independent Dealer £6,475
Private Good £6,090
Private Poor £5,010
Part Exchange £5,395

So, £5750 to see it away ....

OK, put us out of our misery ... what are you hoping to get?

You haven't said how many owners it has had ..... or how long you have owned it?

I was simply going by Parkers to assist you ....

AutoTrader asking prices are just that - asking prices.

All I seem to read on here is that cars are not selling, no interest, no callers, prices needing to be slashed to get them away ..... there is no market.

Therefore, my contribution to your request is £5750 + whatever for the mods. still stands.

Ignore it if you wish - but, you did ask for everyones opinions.

But parkers guide is so far out, I would also say £8000 - £8500

This one has had only 2 owners, not been messed about with, seems a genuine car - just what buyers are looking for.

Remember, these are cars which haven't been messed about with so appeal to the widest audience.

The second here is a Dealer and has Leather ....

Remember that 15% comes off the asking prices .... I think, maybe I am a touch low ... but not by much.

i dont see any of them at 5750?? and i'll doubt they'll drop down to 5750 either,,
its not what the parkers guide says, its the going market value! most blobs are doing around the 8-9k mark depending on reg?,, regarless of what the price guides say

Yeah that price guides are crap. Search for a guide price on 2 or more different sites and sometimes they are as much as 2k appart for the same car!

Parkers dont seem to be reliable at all nowadays think they just have a program that calculates a figure on percentages not the actual spec/style and any other factors that decide the price!

Ive recently bought my 05 blob STI for 8k with a few goodies and felt this was a good buy. Cheap and id worry. As ive been looking lately and the spec id say 8 - 8.5k area. 5-7k Are Bugeye STi's and then from 7 upwards are blobs.

Good luck with the sale if you go ahead with it!! Hope you will still be doing the flocking as will be in touch after Christmas!!
