Shorter pipe work when runnin a fmic, hence less lag. But its a lot of ballache for not a lot of gain and i wouldnt say there is a massive amount of diffrence in it anyway...

Grant: To help you, the manifold above is for a version 5 or 6 car fitted with version 5 or 6 cylinder heads, MY99-00. The throttle body and idle control on these cars is completely different to that on version 3 and 4 cars which is what you have.

THe reversed manifold you looked at previously would fit version 1,2,3 or 4 without any difficulty but a version 5/6 throttle body connection was grafted on and it would therefore require major surgery starting with the wiring loom etc. etc. etc. for you to run that manifold with version 5 or 6 throttle body on your 97/98 car.

Apart from anything else, why do you want to reverse the manifold in the first place?

Because I still find my VF37 too laggy, and as I use it for local hillclimbs, so I need all the low down power I can get. Im also aware that I set a new record, and want to keep it, and next year is going to be difficult.

Larger engine size isnt an option in the class I am running.

Car has been remapped twice since fitting the VF37, and have bought a Hybrid version of this (as on the Type 20 or 25- cant remember which), which is an MD something or other- essentially a VF22 compressor I think. I havent fitted it yet, but thats the hope.

System has been pressure tested twice since fixing the IC (bolt pierced the top), and all good.

So this is my next idea- shorten the pipework, and remove the 180' bend in the IC pipework coming out of the turbo.

It does fit right, don't know who's done the work but it's been done well, can get some more pictures of where the work has been done if required.
Best I'll take is £130 plus the postage, guessing it'll be about a tenner to post
