Default V3 STi RA Gearbox

I currently have a V5 STi and I am getting a bit of a "snick" when giving it some beans into 4th and from 5th to 4th on a change down. Now I am going to have a go at some good diff and engine oil to see if this helps.

If not, a mate as a V3 STi RA gearbox with a longer 5th Gear.

1. Am I right in thinking that the case is different to a V5/6?
2. Could the internals from the V3 be swapped over to the V5/6?
3. Are the diffs ratios different on the V3 to the V5/6?

Its a weaker box, as its a 752 and not the 754, not sure if the cryo cooling was done on the v3 gearsets as they were done on the 5 and 6 for sure (hardening), so the gears may be weaker also

Exactly the same syncro problem on mine, mainly 5th to 4th just popped up randomly and now does it all the time.

Dont get your hopes up with the oil. Plan for some kind of gearbox rebuild
