Default 17" wheels and brakes

Hey all,

I have a wrx my95 with standard 2003 wrx 17inch alloys.

I currently have the 2pot fronts 1 pot rears brakes but they are totally pants.

I am looking to upgrade but i do not know which way to go. I am wanting to keep 17" alloys however i want something like rota subzero/torque.

I do know what whether to upgrade to 4pot fronts 2 pot rears then i can choose what ever wheels i want. Or save up and go straight for brembos.

Do brembos fit under many 17" aloys?

My other option is to upgrade to 4pots/2pots now then int he future when i get more of the car done (there is so much to do on it) then upgrade to ksports or even consider the 330 god speed kit for the 4pots.

I am looking at using the car for fast road, with maybe the odd trackday (but again in the distant future when i get the rest of the car up to standard)

I am interested to hear other peoples views and experiences

Buy right first time it will save you money, a half way house just prolongs the excercise.....

Not a lot.
As 172 has said, you'd be better offer buyng what you need first time.
Avoid Gold Sti Brembo's if you want a lot of 17 wheel choice.

Never had an issue with clearance. Its all to do with design of the wheels...

Sold my track car last night and still got these left

Thats because you always got the right wheels. You can honestly say there is not "loads" of 17's that clear Gold Brembo's easy.

I love those speedlines you got, just wish I had the cash to spare.

I have the Prodrive/Alcon 4pot brake set up (330mm discs) on my '95 with 17" Speedline ST2s, they fit just fine.

Anybody know if 17" oz's will clear the prodrive / alson 330mm 4 pot setups by chance? Happy to put spacers on to clear the width, just need to know if they will physically fit inside the wheel.

Si
