changing a theromstat in my wrx 98

Default changing a theromstat in my wrx 98

im going to get my themmorstat today and fit it do i need to get a gaskett an sealent to do this or is it a case of buy a blue print thermostat pop the bottom pipe of undo the to bolt puull out thermo and pop neww one in fill system bleed system cheers oh ps i hate being up this early on a sunday

Don't think you need sealant - did the stat come with the brown/blue/grey circular rubber sealing O-ring?

Make sure it does (it should do).

It's the black thing that goes around the outer edge (obviously):-
