Is it a bugeye by any chance?

This is a common error on the bugs , Ususlly comes on when you hit 6-7k on the revs, or when driving hard, I`ve had it a couple of times in the last couple of years but had no other issues arising from it, get the code deleted and see if it comes back on again?

yep, bugeye. i've turned it off maybe 7 or 8 times and it pops up again, just at idling revs though. I'll have another go tomorrow. Thanks.

If it's putting out a CEL and you have not been bouncing off the rev limiter it might need cleaning
