clonking from of side rear of car

Default clonking from of side rear of car

hi all, have just bought myself an sti jdm import, since getting the car back i have noticed that when you drive forward or in reverse at very slow speed the car seems to clonk or lift slightley on the offside of the car. has anybody come across this before?

car 2003
sti 6 speed with dccd

any help would be gratefully appreciated

I too have just bought an 02 sti type uk and have the same problem. i know the rear struts sticking/knocking is a common problem but mine seems to do it more on full lock which sounds like it could be the diff, is yours the same?

mine is definatley driveshaft orientated not strut issue, is yours front or rear ?

I've got the exact same thing happening on my 98 UK Wagon but I assumed it was something to do with the rear diff possibly being dry due to it leaking from the front seal.

And mine also clunks and lifts at slow speeds.

Would a JDM STI wagon rear diff and drive shafts fit a UK wagon?
