Default Rattling clutch pedal. Possible causes...?

I've recently had a clutch change, all ok. Used the car hard yesterday on the track and now have a rattling pedal. It not the pedal pad, and when i reach underneath i can feel a clip of some sort and there is a bit a play(left n right) on the pedal shaft. Is that normal, is there a likely culprit and remedy as it's quite irritating.
When the pedal is in its 'unpressed' position it has a bit of give in it before you feel any pressure.

Cheers
Andrew
