Hello rite guys and girls i need your great advice as usual. Recently i have been experiencing a problem with my Impreza R Sport. I have a terrible (what can only be described as a) creaking noise coming from the back left of my car. It usually happens whilst going up a steep hill or round a sharp corner. I was thinking the usual like a shock absorber but a recent mechanic told me it was my link pins. However they got taken off and looked at and they are fine. Anyone got any ideas as it is getting worse. Prices for parts and garage bills would be really appreciated. Hope you guys can help

 

If you push the rear of the car down or lift it up, does it settle back to where it was previously?
Does it move smoothly?

How can you be sure it isnt the shock?

 

Hi i have this knocking issue also now in both shocks on rear of my wrx 2002 wagon when i push the back end down the shock does settle so will the mounts of gone is that all i need to replace.

 

kyb shocks are ****e, no other word for em, get a good set of coilovers , prob sorted
