Hi all, I have a 2001 turbo (bugeye), gearbox has gone.

I have been looking on ebay but how late can i go, i know a 2002 gearbox will fit, how late can i go though???

Also, how difficult is it to remove and refit a gearbox, any help would be greatly apprecieated as i want this baby back on the road asap.

why not just get it fixed ??

 

changing gear from 1st to 2nd and it went bang. knock and rattles now and locks up when doing more than 10 mph.

how much would it be to get it repaired??
i can get it fitted for next to nothing and have seen some on ebay for a decent price about £500 ish

 

I have a bugeye gearbox and rear diff. In perfect working condition, i have upgraded to a 6 speed set up. I am only looking for £300 plus p&p.
