Default On a mission

Well I'm on a mission to get the car sorted before Fridays trip to USC.

Drained the gearbox today ready for the run to the POD and found I have 2 teeth and loads of shavings on the plug.

I'm hoping to get another box tomorrow and get my old one dropped and new one fitted before Friday morning.

Once the old is off, I'll start to strip this to find the problem and rebuild it to the way I want.

Not the best of timings TBH but what can I say, its part of Impreza ownership.

Changing for fun as usual, though these pieces could of been in there since last
April when I put the new gearbox in.

I have been having some issues with my gearbox latelly so it's been out a few times.

The last time it was jammed in reverse. So it needed to be removed, stripped, selector changed and then placed back in the car.

That brings back a memory from last year, I put the release bearing on incorrectly and had to drop the whole thing just to turn it round, I wont be doing that again believe me.

Did you put the longer 5th in afterwards ??

No left it as is. Just on the search for a straight cut set with the same ratios as I have now.
