Default API 6 SPEED HEAVY DUTY CLUTCH

Anyone had one of these?
Claimed to hold above 400bhp / 400 ft/lb

Expereince tells me twin plate, but for a road car with 400hp maybe this will do and saves a few pennies....

Any comments would be helpfull

I have one of davids AP Racing 5 speed clutches in my 6 speed box and i have approx 400BHP and its doing a great job. Its the ft/lb that kills the clutch.

I have the exact kit, but have not given the car any abuse as of yet. It's got a good hard bite on engagement and has a light pedal feel.

and remember that it is power/load (torque) that kills clutches not hp.

i just posted this link on another thread. it's an Evo chart but it's for a 240mm clutch same as scooby 6 speed so i'm sure the graphs would be the same.

BTW my 03 Spec C has 380ft lbs of torque but was mapped on the road, a RR would give a slightly lower reading.

I may have to retract this statement due to raised issue.
