Hi all...I finally got to drive my dream scoob of the moment the gb 270 wagon...i only had a few miles to sum up my thoughts..firstly the 266bhp didn't feel anything like it it was flat after turbo kicked in..my classic wagon felt quicker and more raw and punchy..it would need some work to improve the performance..obviously there was more refinement over the classic but equipment inside was lacking..the looks though the looks that's what drew me in in the first place and thats the only part i can't complain about..if it drove like it looks i'd grab one with both hands..

So the classic wagon is staying with me as it's had all it's suspension worked and with the new chip and decat exhaust ready to go it would eat the gb270 in all departments..

It's due to the weight of the newage, get it mapped and then it will match the looks

 

it did feel a lump compared to mine..a six speed box wouldn't of gone a miss either..

 

Remap is all you need messi, what turbo does your '96 have ?

 

Thats a good question...i've not had it on the dyno yet but the guy who owned it before me says it has 240 bhp..it was not standard from factory with quickshift gears and suspension mod + prodrive wheels..i know that doesn't answer your question but even if it was standard 220bhp it still had more bark.i've not set eyes on the turbo since having the car but it's in the gararge soon so will find out..
