Car started to misfire last night, pretty much constantly on light throttle judders, if get to say 10psi car is fine. changed spark plugs and still same. Is this more likely to be leads or main coil pack? standard car and boost but highish mileage.

MY97 or MY98? calling a UK car a version just confuses the issue but these 2 have phase 1.5 engines anyway so are mechanically similar.
Would look at the spark plugs first, are they gapped ok?

Is it there when engine has fully warmed up?

Could it be dampness getting at the engine with all the rain we have had?

 

new plugs made no change. Doesnt matter temp of cr. Happend after booting car only to 6k all smooth came off throttle for a junction then when pulled away started missing. Ticks over smooth and if drive car hard all fine. Only when on light throttle happens.

 

Sounds likely to be coil packs to me. Check em for cracks and if poss, swap with another set to see if this cures it.
