Default Mahle pistons. Which way up?!

Does anyone know which direction the arrow should point when installing these pistons?

There's nothing on the leaflet, the only thing I have to go in the ring leaflet that shows the front on the engine.

Thanks, Rich.

the arrows on most car pistons should point to the cambelt end of the engine. on a subaru boxer they therefore should point to the front of the engine. did you get a sheet to tell you how much each piston weighs and which piston should go where in order to keep the engine nicely balanced?

Spoke to Mark at Lateral and Dylan (from here). The arrows do indeed face the cambelt. There was no info on piston positions, I would hope that performance pistons were all the same.

It's also wise to check the gudgeon pin offset on the pistons to make sure the manufacturers marks/arrows show the right direction prior to final installation/build.
Pin offset will be opposite of direction of engine rotation to reduce bore wear and noise.
