Hello people.i want to get more power out of my 02 bugeye wrx.i have got a green panel airfilter,full ehaust system(power flow cat back system) a bump valve and lighted and balanced flywheel with fast road clucth.had it rollin roaded 263.5bhp.but now im bored of the power and want more!!!but what can i do to get more power.my mate has a **** evo got it remapped for free by some matey **** me its a hell of a lot faster but he would never remap a scooby pain in the *** he said.is there anyone who car do a good remap on the cheap with out just turnin up the boost?

 

Sell your wrx and get an STI, it will save you a fortune on tuning if you want to go that way, otherwise your after injectors, uprated fuel pump, new turbo (vf35 is popular), remap, then you will be looking at the brakes as they wont stop you, your clutch will be pushing the limits, as will the gearbox and engine.

thanks tony.my clutch is good for 350-400bhp so i've been told.gear box should be ok had a sti box put in it when i brought it.only paid 2k for the car last year had a alarm fault.what injectors and fuel pump should i be lookin at? thanks phil

 

Most people use the STI pink 550cc injectors and a walbro 255ltr pump, though the bosch 040 is meant to be a better (abeit more expensive) pump.

Turbo: VF 34. Have one in my bug wagon - with sensible mods an easy 320 with good spool. Clutch, engine, turbo and box good(ish) for upto 350 tops (unless you drive very hard). I reckon if you want to go much above this figure an STi is the way to go. Next step is find a good tuner who can do it all and give advice based upon your car. But, it will not be as cheap as modding an Evo.
