Its a cobra sports exhuast 4'' tail pipe got it brand new off some guy on ebay? any one know if they sound any good?

 

Very loud (esp with centre and decat). I had a full 3" Cobra system with the 4" rolled-in tail (+ decat) and it's loud like a Nur Spec or Firestorm is....

 

well ill still have the cat in and not 3'' all the way through so im assuming it wont be to bad?

oh well as long as I get a buble il be happy my exhaust I have on now is very quiet.

 

Oh it defo magnifies the burble alright!

It will be significantly louder than a very quiet exhaust (really?! lol), but it's not as if it's stupidly deafening or anything like that.........

Ive got a 2.5 straight thro including decat and a 5inch cobra back box = very very loud, sets off car alarms

It is v. loud for just a back box. But not as loud as if you also had the straight through centre and/or decat d/p, obviously.

Has your b.b. got the 2.5" inlet pipe option, or the 3" one? (I'm guessing the 2.5" one, as I don't think the 3" mates up to the OEM centre section?).

If so, then Cobra state that their 2.5" b.b., - and systems - are appreciably "quieter" than than their 3" ones...

 

i have a full system thats 3" with full decat on my my 02 sti and its loud,its not same brand but is same thing really,i must say you get used to it but the neighbours dont !sets off allarms and sounds ace in car parks,lol im a big kid.
