i have a 93 import waggon with a v3 sti redtop implant and have noticed today a tapping in 1st gear only ????? is that the sound of a new gearbox wanted very soon ?????? any advice would be great and if i need a new 1 does anyone have 1 near leeds ????

when i got the car i was told it was a v2 sti redtop !!! but have been informed that redtops didnt arrive till v3 ??? so can anyone tell me the code for a v3 redtop gearbox,, and i cant tell you if it is a uk or jdm engine ????? have tried to read up on it a bit and would like to know if its fatal and new box needed and code for new 1 lol ta.

well thats 1 thing cleared up then , cheers !!!! now all i need is some advice on the ticking 1st gear

 

another thing to run by someone is !!! could it be the reverse idler gear hitting first gear on the mainshaft ?? read it on another forum and just clutchin at straws now hopeing its not the death of my box.
