Well there I was, on my pay down to Southend to pay Phil for the modified live tickets and I have a serious problem.....

The offside rear break has progressed from squeeking to outright rumbling...fk knows what's happened but I only just about made it home this morning!

Is there any decent brake specialist in Essex anyone knows of? Ideally i'd like to go somewhere, be told what is wrong and possibly get them replaced there and then...and all this by the weekend...

Very doubtfull I know but just incase anyone knows of a superher...i'd be forever in your debt...

Where abouts are you??

Mr Clutch in Chelmsford and Southend, Xtreme in Boreham and Mocom in North Weald are the best bets depending on distance.

Either the pads/disks have given up or maybe rear wheel bearing!

Most of them can get parts pretty quick, normally on the same day, just get down there early to give them a chance to have a look.

Kin Quick, thank you so very much...I'm in Romford so I would probably think Mocom is the best bet (if I get stuck in more morning rush hour traffic dwn to Southend i'm liable to abandon my car and assume the fetal position on the hard shoulder)

But then again, Mr Clutch in Chelmsford is a good call...do we have anyone there? (always wanted to say that...kind of like an Oceans Eleven deal)

Mr Clutch Graham, El and the boys have a v.good parts supply contract so if you need anything it arrives as if by magic by a lovely lady in a van or a Datsun driver in a van

Ben at Mr C's did my MOT Monday and the new lift is very posh indeed

 

All I can say is W-O-W.

After all the hassle i've had with companies letting me down, Mr Clutch/El has left me speechless.

I called them at 8:30 on the dot, El said to bring it down...I dropped it off and as I literally walked in the door El was on the phone to me telling me they problem was one caliper had seized itself onto the disc and the disc was cracked. Also, he has the discs and pads but he would only probably able to get the new calipers tomorrow morning and the car will be done for midday tomorrow!!!

TEHN he quoted me the all inclusive price at a third the amount I expected?!?!?
