Got a standard one off a classic here. Whereabouts are you in the country?

Not sure, its the classic one with the heatshield round it. I bought it to fit to mine, but it just sat in the garage in the end. Im in Oxon, 20 miles west of Oxford, OX18.

ok mate, but i will need to know if it has the flexi piece under the heat shield as this is the piece that keeps failing and as you probably know its a pain to get at, plus you are 60 miles away so we would have to be sure before i have a look at it, cheers.

Ill shove a pencil down the pipe, if I feel the ridges itll have the flexi pipe, if it is smooth, it wont. Ill check in the morning.

it will feel smooth as its two pieces pushed together over a sleeve, i found that out today as i tried to get the exhaust welded, which didn't go well ha ha, it just fell to bits

How do I find out, apart from grinding off the heatshield?

i don't think you can mate which i wont ask you to do as if has got the flexi piece in it you would have broken it for nothing.
