Question

Hi folks,

This is what's left of the backbox from my Nur Spec R system:

What do you guys reckon on the chances of being able to expertly roll that out again? If only a bad repair can be done, then I won't want her anymore. The problem is that I only bought the system in may and am dreading the prospect of shelling out another £580 for another system

If you guys have any ideas on how well this could be repaired or who could fix it well (pref in the south), then please let me know.

Thanks in anticipation,

Nick

if its SS then it will be qute easy to work with, (sory i cant help you as i only play with alloy and im not very good)

BUT... hey call longlife see what the can do, they fabricate ther own zausts, if they cant roll it out they are in the bristol area, or they could cut off the end and weld a peice that looks identical prehaps, i dont know im just gessing.

Failing that sell it and get another?
Id chuck you 100 notes for it even in that conditon, but not what you want i know.

Good luck

Question

Give Hayward and Scott a call (Basildon) they seem to know how to turn lumps of stainless into pretty pipes

Good luck, MD.

Cheers Mole. I may be being too fussy I think, but I really want to keep the exhaust intact if poss, as the back has the Nur Spec embossed on it. DOH
Come Tuesday, I will give these contacts some serious investigationb thank you all .
I have a nasty feeling however, that my fussiness is going to get the best of me...." Hello, racelogic? Please rape me again for one of Blitz' finest!". Really p!sses me off that despite going for the better and more expensive Blitz option, Blitz apparantly will not let let you get just a replacement 'R' back box and compound that by supposedly altering the lengths of the piping on the 'R', so you cant mate a normal Nur Spec box to the mid

Cheers,

Nick

Tis true too!

Going back to my biking days, i remember reading about one manufacturer, their "slip on" end cans where 2" longer than those that where on their full systems as they are a "tuned length".Depending on the design/diameter of the rest of the system this "tuned length" changes.

Rich.

Oh, I am sooooooooooooo happy!

Following people's recommendation both on and off of here about about Hayward&Scott (Makers of the famous Scoobysport Exhaust System), My housemate dropped the Backbox in this morning first thing and they said that they would do what they could. He collected it today on his way back at 3:30!!
OH MY GOD, I couldn't have possibly imagined a more perfect repair. No bits cut off or joined back on. It is virtually impossible to that anything had ever happened to it!!!!! Looks virtually as new, considering the battering it took.
Not going to mention the price, but these guys could have charged 3 times as much for the repair and I would have been just as over the moon

Hayward & Scott, you guys are the absolute best and have made my week!!!

Here we go then, the first picture is taken badly , it is actually a perfect circle with very little sign of re-rolling:

See why I am a happy bunny now?
