suspension knocking !!! should i change it ?

Default suspension knocking !!! should i change it ?

folks i have an 04 uk sti with the dreaded fecking rear suspension knocking and banging but i do,nt know what to do should i change it ? and if i do what should i fit ? any ideas folks as i,m a bit skinto at the moment or should i just buy a pair off ear plugs and live with it

some can be serviced/repaired if wanting to save a few £££s i would advise against buying salvage replacments unless they come with warranty/guarantee as they could end up being the same even worse

i would,nt use parts from a breakers lads ! what options do i have for replacing them as i do,nt want to have to buy dealers parts

My 05 sti started doing it back in november, i jacked it up got my fingers in between the coils of the spring & pushed up the gaitor that covers the shock shafts & then coated the shock shafts with spray on white lithium grease, hey presto i have not heard it since, i know its only a tempory thing but its worked for five months now.

my car has been back to the dealers (under warrenty) 4 times & thats what the dealer was doing , but it only last about a week or so then back to the knocking
