my 02 sti 6 speed
hi all- i want to know if i check the oil in gearbox when hot or cold ? i did an oil change in it but think it may need a touch more oil,also does it hold 3.5 litres ?

just to add that i drained half a litre out as i was told it took 4.2 litres first so its got about 3.5 in,but it worked better and was not so stiff/notchie when it had more in it,
