Default Brakes ticking/clicking noise.

I recently fitted new grooved and dimpled discs and new pads to my99 uk turbo.

Since then i've noticed a clicking or ticking noise. I pretty sure i've put the shims back in the correct way. I've also checked to see if there is anything caught up in the caliper.

Could it just be the brake pads rubbing over the grooves in the disc?

Can anyone help me with this problem?

thanks in advance.

It's exceptionally difficult to diagnose "noises" via the interweb. Do you mean a permanent ticking/clicking as you drive, or just when stopping/transitioning from forward to reverse/releasing the brakes etc.

If it's permanent, make sure you've got the anti-knockoff springs properly installed. If it's the temporary sort, probably just the pads sliding slightly within the calipers.

If in doubt have the car looked at by somebody who knows.

As splitpin says mate, get it to a garage so someone can "hear" it. Sounds like pads movement in the caliper/carrier. Get it looked at dude
