Default The V3 Sti - good one to have?

Guys

Further to my other thread last night...

I am close to buying a V3 Sti - standard and V low miles.
As there a many many Sti models and i am not experienced enough with the whole history of them, could anyone tell me if that particular model is a good one to buy?

Ie is it well regarded or fraught with problems?
Are they 'desirable' and sought after or just another Sti?
And finally i heard the early 5 speed boxes were weak but later improved - does the V3 have an improved box or one of the weaker rubbish ones?

Please help as i fly out to view in a few hours....

Many thanks

Matt

Remapping only needs doing if you want to run on lower fuel keep to v-power or tesco and car should run ok.I have had many v2/3/4never mapped but kept them standard and never tracked them without a problem.
